This included:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Trade Blotter &#8211; Scrolling real-time table of trades.<\/li>\n<li>TAQ &#8211; Trade and Quote graph of teal-time quotes<\/li>\n<li>A live updating current price table with color highlighting.<\/li>\n<li>A simple time-series graph to plot single metrics. e.g. mid price over time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>1.0 Release March 2023<\/h3>\n<p>Pulse is a tool for <strong>real-time interactive dashboards<\/strong>.<br \/>\nOver the last few months we focussed on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timestored.com\/pulse\/help\/release-changes\">adding new visualizations<\/a> , allowing charts\/tables to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timestored.com\/pulse\/help\/chart-customization\">customized<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timestored.com\/pulse\/tutorial\/questdb-live-charts\">supporting QuestDB<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The goal for 1.0 is:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Increased Interactivity<\/strong> &#8211; To allow user interaction\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/timestored\/pulse-client\/issues\/30\">Click Actions<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Right Click Menus<\/li>\n<li>Buttons that can trigger actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support for large deployments<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Dynamically updating data sources &#8211; For when db server deployments can change host\/port<\/li>\n<li>Licensing &#8211; builtin<\/li>\n<li>Reporting tools &#8211; to show current and historical dashboard usage<\/li>\n<li>Possible custom connection to user to allow security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stability<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Warn when dashboard is growing very large<\/li>\n<li>websocket heartbeat to prevent idle disconnects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improved User Friendliness<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Help <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/timestored\/pulse-client\/issues\/67\">debugging variables in queries<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/timestored\/pulse-client\/issues\/71\">Improved onboarding<\/a> &#8211; create conn, add dashboard, add table &#8211; all made obvious.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOT in 1.0 but still on the long term roadmap is <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/timestored\/pulse-client\/milestone\/5\">grid UI improvements<\/a> , scripting and further expanding data sources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>0.6.5 release in July 2022 For our initial release of Pulse we had 4 essential use cases that we solved.
