Does anyone have any advice for using the console from linux for q programming?
Is there a way to search command history?

Hi Ash,

See this tutorial for setting up kdb on linux:

For Vim there is syntax highlighting available.
For up/down history you can use rlwrap.
One of my personal favourite general linux tools is GNU screen.
